Quello che sbalordisce, è la presa di posizione pro-CBS, trincerata dietro la loro stessa linea di attacco riassunta dal refrain “hanno acchiappato dei soldi, quindi sono a fini di lucro, quindi non è più un fan-film” arrivando addirittura a difendere a spada tratta la prossima produzione di mamma Paramount, quel “Trek and Furious” che sicuramente renderà ai botteghini, ma vedremo quanto della filosofia Trek porterà con sè.
Quello che sbalordisce è lo sputare sopra una produzione di qualità astrale (a giudicare dai video finora distribuiti) e sopra il coraggio di una squadra che sta confezionando un film dove CBS e PARAMOUNT avrebbero solo da imparare.
La coda di paglia di queste major si vede lontano un Parsec, la probabilità che Axanar sia messo a confronto con “Beyond” è reale e il terrore che quest’ultimo ne esca sminuito è visibile a tutti, soprattutto se guardiamo alle differenze di budget.
Come giudicare altrimenti l’accanirsi contro Axanar con l’accusa di essersi appoggiati a una campagna di crowfunding, quando non hanno mosso un a
vvocato per “Horizon”, altra produzione amatoriale che di crowfunding (a giudicare dai titoli di coda) ne ha addirittura messi in piedi due ?
Forse a decidere il livello di strizza è stata proprio la qualità del prodotto (Horizon è un bellissimo film, ma la qualità è leggermente inferiore, probabilmente quel tanto che basta da non impensierire in caso di confronto).
In fondo, per fare prodotti di qualità ci vogliono i soldi e se li trovo tramite una campagna Kickstarter non vedo quale scandalo ci sia.
Se poi aggiungiamo il fatto che il team di Axanar ha dichiarato di voler uscire in pari, l’accusa cade come un castello di carte.
Ultimo dubbio, quello che proprio non capisco, è rappresentato dai fan che continuano a spalare materiale organico sul film tra i due che segue la timeline ufficiale e che la arricchirebbe non poco.
